+ APARTAMENT AND OFFICE TOWERS IN THE SALBURUA FENS, VITORIA-GASTEIZ

The site is located in the city, and it expresses
the project’s main concerns: first, to develop the finishing-off
of the axis that articulates the new Salburúa extension
and second, to consider the magnificent expanse of fen land
at its feet. This tension is accompanied by two others, whose
importance increases if we think about the verticality of the
tower typology and in the scale and memory of the city. On the
one hand the park-road that surrounds the fen elicits a synaesthetic
experience of a great interest due to its sinusoidal and almost
picturesque layout. On the other, the tracks of the former airport
runway introduce a diagonal axis that allows finding, as we
ascend, an attractive view of downtown Vitoria from above, as
attractive as the views towards the North and the East.
